Vinicius Jr Extends Sincere Sorry to Los Blancos Supporters
The attacker has registered five strikes in 10 Spanish league appearances this season.
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to fans for his response when taken off in the recent heated Clasico clash triumph.
Vinicius was replaced in the 72nd minute and expressed his frustration by heading directly down the tunnel.
He subsequently came back to the sidelines and, following his team's 2-1 win, tried to confront Barça's opposing player during unsavoury final whistle incidents.
"Now I want to say sorry to all the supporters for my behavior when I was taken off in the Clasico," Vinicius posted on X.
"In the same way as I have previously expressed during the latest practice, I also want to express regret anew to my colleagues, the team, and the president.
"Occasionally passion gets the better of me because I always want to win and support my team. My determined nature comes from the passion I feel for this institution and everything it represents."
He signed for Madrid from his former club in the year 2018 for £38.7m and has scored 111 goals in numerous matches.
But his prospects in the Madrid is uncertain with speculation in the past few months suggesting that Los Blancos would think about allowing the player leave if they got a suitable offer.
When the winger was substituted on that day, cameras from broadcaster the service captured him remarking: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's preferable if I leave, I'm leaving."
In his new statement on social media, Vinicius stated: "I promise to keep striving at all times for the welfare of the club, as I have performed since the first day."
